Insurance Options
Acharya Periodontics and Dental Implants is in-network with the following insurance companies: Delta Dental and United Healthcare.
Our office will submit to all insurance companies (regardless if we are in or out of network), with the exception of Medicare and Medicaid, as a courtesy to our patients. Your estimated co-insurance will be collected towards services rendered on the day of service. Upon receipt of an insurance payment, any balance due will be billed to you.
If you have dental insurance and plan to use it towards your periodontal needs, we will file all the necessary forms and requested information to optimize your insurance reimbursement. Dealing with these companies can be difficult and time-consuming. We ask you to keep us informed of any change to your insurance. It is important that all information about you and your insurance is current.

What is a Periodontist?
A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gum disease, and in the placement of dental implants. Periodontists receive extensive training in these areas, including three additional years of education beyond dental school. They are familiar with the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating periodontal disease, and are also trained in performing cosmetic periodontal procedures.
Dr. Acharya, board certified in Periodontics and dental implant surgery, can treat more problematic periodontal cases, such as those with severe gum disease or a complex medical history. She can offer non-surgical and surgical treatment options specifically suited to patient needs and preferences.
